Russian co-chair names aim of visit to region

“Along with the settlement of conflict, we also discuss the last incidents occurred in the contact line of Armenian and Azerbaijani troops”, OSCE Minsk Group’s Russian co-chair Igor Popov told journalists before crossing to the opposite side of the contact line.

The diplomat said that they held negotiations in Baku with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov: “Today we will be in Nagorno Karabakh, tomorrow - in Armenia. We plan to meet with Armenian president and foreign minister. We will discuss with them the main basic principles towards the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict and recent incidents that occurred in the frontline”.
