28 October 2010 [13:43] - TODAY.AZ
British Council and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan invite to a theatrical performance "Hotel Methuselah", a modern ghost story, to be staged at the Theatre of Russian Drama at 19.00 on November 16-17.

This is one of several new projects by British Council held across the southeastern Europe under the banner of "New Work, New Audiences” (NWNA). It aims to popularize the finest works of British creativity and knowledge about the art among the widest possible audience in close collaboration with partners and people.

A brief info about the performance:

Harry works as a night porter in a hotel in a city somewhere in Europe, covered by the torments of war. Despite the distant sounds of artillery and volleys of artillery fire, he likes solitude of his work. He is grateful that all he has to do, is to register guests and escort them to their room. But Harry has a problem which he desperately tries to solve. He can not remember how he got to the hotel or what he did before. He is not even sure that his real name is Harry.

Presentation will be in English with a translation into Azerbaijani language. Entrance is by ticket only. Free tickets are available at British Council office from November 1. Performance is for the persons over 16 years of age.
