Netflix reaches Azerbaijan

Netflix, the biggest name in provision of the Internet streaming media be it movies or TV shows, whose popularity hits audience ratings and advertising revenues at satellite channels and cable in the U.S., will now offer its services in nearly every country across the world.

Now some 130 new markets, including Azerbaijan will use the services of the U.S. movie streaming giant. The global internet TV network will offer its services, which is available in English, but not the local language, also for the Azerbaijani audience.

Reed Hastings, chief executive of Netflix said the world now is witnessing the birth of a global TV network, NYT reports.

“Whether you are in Sydney or St. Petersburg, Singapore or Seoul, Santiago or Saskatoon, you now can be part of the Internet TV revolution,” he noted.

Currently, Netflix, claims 70 million customers in more than 190 countries worldwide.

Netflix pricing in new markets, still unknown, but seems to be in line with its U.S. pricing. In India, for example, it varies at around $7.49 and $11.99 per month depending on the package.

Established in 1997 Netflix representative of a new generation of multimedia broadcasters, which offers their products including movies, shows and TV series based on streaming technology. Streaming means you get to watch your shows and movies in real time, rather than downloading them to watch later.

With Netflix, you are able to watch your favorite shows and movies anytime, anywhere, without fear you will miss it on TV. It’s possible to watch instantly from any Internet-connected device that offers a Netflix app, such as a computer, gaming console, DVD, phone or tablet.
