National artists to create works in open air

An exhibition called “Nar”, with the theme of pomegranate will be held in Art Villa gallery in Baku.

Co-organized by Arts Council Azerbaijan and Culture and Tourism Ministry the event will be held at 15:00 on February 15,

A pomegranate is a talisman for sculptors, painters, poets, musicians, designers, directors, actors, that is to say, all people whose success depends on the full commitment and passion.

This beautiful fruit is a symbol of loyalty, persistence, faith, devotion and strength that ensure its owner with a good mood, drives away sorrow, cheers the soul and brings joy.

The event will bring together young artists as well as famous painters of the older generation including Mir Teymur Mammadov, Rashad Mehtiyev, Irina Eldarova, Konul Kangarli, Intigam Agayev, Vugar Ali, Ruslan Kovalev, Vugar Guliyev, Rovshan Mammadov and many others.

Pomegranate, which is translated into Azerbaijani as “Nar” is a unique fruit. Azerbaijan is the only country, where exist all varieties of pomegranate.

The bright juicy fruit has become a symbol of Azerbaijan. People compose poems and songs for this beautiful fruit. Every year in November, the country celebrates the Pomegranate Festival, which attracts many domestic and foreign tourists.
