The Royal Albert Hall in London will welcome the second Buta Festival of Azerbaijani Arts from November 4 to March 22.

After the fall of the USSR, Land of Fire, Azerbaijan has rediscovered its heritage and creative freedom to become the fascinating hub of East meets West artistic expression it once was.

However, Azerbaijan is probably still a gem hidden from most people in the UK. The Buta Festival is set to change this in a dramatic style, when Londoners will be able to enjoy works by some of the country's most celebrated artists.

An impressive array of performers from the Caspian country will please the guests and beyond with the launch of a five month celebration of the arts and culture of Azerbaijan - a land where ancient traditions are inspiring an exciting future.

The festival will feature performances of local and foreign masters of arts including popular soprano Joan Rodgers CBE and adventurous tenor Jeffrey Lloyd-Roberts, as well as virtuoso violinist Shlomo Mintz and Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

From the mysterious magic of Mugham, the country's evocative and emotional national song, to the cutting edge contemporary jazz of Montreux prize-winner Isfar Sarabski, there's plenty of thrilling new music to get involved in.

Azerbaijan will be represented with a specially assembled trio performing examples of the vast Mugham tradition music that matches the Western classical tradition in its sophistication.

Pianist Murad Huseynov and Turkish soprano Burcin Savigne will be an amazing addition to the gala opening of the festival.

Rena Effendi will open the fantastic visual arts section of this year's Buta Festival of Azerbaijani Arts, with her Zones of Silence exhibition at The Mosaic Rooms!

Rena's highly praised 'Pipe Dreams' exhibition at the 2009-2010 Buta Festival, captured harsh realities, as well as moments of pure beauty, experienced by people living along the pipeline through Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia.

The festival promises the visitors to bright up the dark autumn nights.

The first Buta Festival of Azerbaijan Arts was held in London from November 2009 to March 2010. During the festival Londoners got acquainted with Azerbaijan's most celebrated musicians, artists, poets and filmmakers.
