
Today, a symposium on “development of independent Azerbaijan in digits” was held by Ministry of Education, State Statistical Committee and Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), in Baku.
According to APA, State Statistical Committee’s Chairman Arif Valiyev spoke about the economic development of the country and noted that, Azerbaijan’s GDP tripled, per head GDP rose by 2.7 times, industrial production – by 2.8 times, investments directed to basic capital – by 2.9 times, agricultural sphere – by 1.3 times, paid services for population – by 4.5 times, cargo transportations – by 1.8 times, communication sphere – by 5.6 times, retail commodity circulation – by 2.3 times, foreign trade turnover – by 5.4 times, foreign investments in country’s economy – by 2.4 times, population’s deposit – by 12 times, state budget – by 9.3 times, strategic current reserves – by 18.4 times, lending in economy – by 13.7 times, population’s income –by 4.5 times, average month salary – by 4.3 times, minimum wages – by 7.1 times, average sum of pensions – by 4.7 times, number of small entrepreneurs – by 1.7 times.
Besides, Minister of Education Misir Mardanov, ANAS President Mahmud Karimov, ANAS vice-president Arif Hashimov, Chairman of Nakhchivan AR State Statistical Committee Bakhtiyar Ismayilov spoken about the development of country.
Representatives of Presidential Administration, Cabinet of Ministers, Milli Majlis, Economic Development Ministry, Ministries of Finance, Health, Ecology and Natural Resources, as well State Customs Committee, State Social Protection Fund, Central Bank and other bodies attended the symposium.
