Azerbaijani delegation participates in General Assembly of European Standardization Committee

A delegation of the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patent led by its chairman Ramiz Hasanov participated in a General Assembly of the European Standardization Committee (CEN).

The session saw discussions on the organization's action plan and financial report and adopted a program on standardization development in the European Union countries in 2011-2013.

On the sidelines of the event, Ramiz Hasanov met with Rob Steele. Secretary General. International Organization for Standardization (ISO), director general of the European Committee for Standardization Elena Santiago Cid, the president of Poland's Standardization Committee, Tomasz Schweitzer, Vice-President of the Austrian Institute of Standards Elisabeth Stampfl-Blaha and Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus Valery Koreshkov.

The meeting discussed development of cooperation between organizations in the field of standardization and future plans.
