Azerbaijani minister of economic development and IDB president hold press conference

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev and President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Ahmed Mohammed Ali have held a press conference on results of the 35th Annual Meeting of the IDB Group.

Mustafayev said the holding of the 35th Annual Meeting in Baku is “a vivid evidence of increasing interest towards Azerbaijan”.

He said the forums, symposiums, seminars and conferences held within the annual meeting would contribute to Azerbaijan`s economic development. The Azeri Minister expressed confidence decisions adopted during the meeting would "also give impetus” to development of Islamic countries.

Mohammed Ali praised President Ilham Aliyev`s support "for high-level organization of the annual meeting".

He said the IDB attached great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan and realizing projects in the country, including restoration of the Mingachevir Hydro electric power station and construction of Khachmaz substation and Janub power station.
