Since the development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) fields in 1997, about 45.4 billion cubic meters of associated gas, 19.1 billion cubic meters of which transferred to Azerbaijan, were produced from the ACG, Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Ministry Spokesman Azer Mansimli said.

The remaining volume of associated gas produced in this field, was pumped into the reservoir and used for equipment and machinery.

Since, the development of the Shah-Deniz field in 2006, 19.2 billion cubic meters of gas, of which 5.4 billion transferred to Azerbaijan, were produced from the field, Mansimli said.

According to him, of the total volume of natural gas extracted from the Shah Deniz field, 11.9 billion cubic meters were sent to Turkey and 1.1 billion cubic meters - Georgia under the existing contract. The remaining amount was used for equipment and machinery, in particular as a fuel for pumping stations on the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
