Agricultural production rises this year

Agricultural production in Azerbaijan in January-April 2009 increased by 5% and amounted to 436 million 318.6 thousand manat, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports with reference to the State Committee on Statistics.
According to the State Statistical Committee, the increase in production through the reported period made 4.3% of livestock.

In January-April 2009 production of meat made 96.8 thousand tons of meat, milk 442.6 thousand tons, eggs 391.9 million. Growth of crop production in January-April amounted to 9.8%.
