Baku-Kars air flights to be suspended

23 October 2008 [14:18] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijani Turan Air will suspend Baku-Kars flights from October 24 of this year, sources from Turan Air told APA.
Reports say that due to the cold weather conditions in Kars the company's expenses for technical maintenance have risen in the cold season.

For this reason the company decided to conduct air flights by this route in warm reasons.

"Front is now observed in the evenings at the Kars airport. In the result we are obliged to demand additional resources from the airport. This is not profitable for the company. The last flight by the Baku-Kars route will be operated on October 24. The flights will resume in spring of the last year".

It should be noted that the Baku-Kars air flights are operated on Mondays and Fridays at 09.10. The cost of a ticket is AZN 116.

It should be reminded that Turan Air operates air flights from Baku to Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk and from Ganja to Moscow and Istanbul.
