Cost of the project of waste incineration plant to be raised in Azerbaijan

The contract with CNIM is expected to be signed by the end of this week or through the next week.

At the initial stage the project is to be financed from the budget as the state investment program for 2008 envisions AZN 90,000,000 and for 2009 -AZN 70,000,000.

The plant capacity will near 500,000 tons of household wastes per year and the French company will operate it within 20 years with possible prolongation for 10 years.

The incineration of household wastes will help produce 231,500,000 KW-Hs of electric power.
