New chief of representative office of Russian Maritime Registry of Shipping in Azerbaijan appointed

Reports say that Shaban Guliyev started working with RS in 1993 as an inspection engineer and he has been the deputy chief of the representation since 1999.

The RS representative office in Azerbaijan was founded in 1923. The personnel of the representative office fulfills a complex of tasks, aimed at ensuring security of shipping, protection of human life in the sea and prevention of environmental pollution.

The employees of the office participate in developing rules and regulations of the RS and fulfilling instructions of the maritime administrations of Azerbaijan and other countries.

RS is one of the leading classification societies, founded in 1913. Its activity aims at ensuring security of shipping, protection of human life in the sea and prevention of environmental pollution.
