Georgia suspends electric power import from Azerbaijan and Russia

Georgia has suspended import of Russian electric power, supplied by the Salkhino power transmission line, passing via Abkhazia.
Interfax reports with reference to the Georgian company, importing Russian electric powerб that "the time and volumes of supply resumption between Georgia and Russia will be made clear in the next few days".

Reports say that power supply from Azerbaijan was also suspended. At the same time, Georgia resumed its energy supplies to Turkey.

Earlier Georgian authorities have repeatedly stated that they do not need import of Russian electric power.
