
Index of consumer prices of goods and services made up 102.5% in December of 2007 due to the 3.6% rise in prices of foodstuffs, 0.9% in prices of non-foods and 1.7% on service fees, according to the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
It was noted that prices fell down on wheat flour, bread, macaronis, baby food, lamb, beef, chicken, sturgeon, sausages, dairy butter and vegetable oil, tinned products, sugar and granulated sugar, milk and dairy products and other goods in December.
Prices of clothes and footwear as well as household technique also experienced decline.
Prices and tariffs rose on services including tailoring and clothes repair, medical services and others in December.
