28 March 2007 [22:57] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijan will be more interested to join Odessa-Brody pipeline if it establishes chain fuel-filling stations in Ukraine, said Azerbaijan's Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev.

He said Azerbaijan didn't refuse to join Odessa-Brody pipeline project when proposed.

"We offered that they can buy from Azerbaijan as much as oil they want. That doesn't mean that we must join the pipeline. Ukraine also offered state Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) to be a shareholder in Ukraine. This proposal is event much more attractive than the first one," he noted.

Natig Aliyev added that the main objective of Azerbaijan is to deliver its oil to the foreign markets through its on resources, adding that the country has made a choice.

"Baku-Novorossiysk and Baku-Supsa pipelines were our first routes. We made a decision to built Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan. The time showed how correct step it was," he underscored, APA reports.
