09 January 2007 [10:33] - TODAY.AZ
January 15 RAO EES (Unified Energy Systems) will tell Azerbaijan how much it is going to charge for electricity import in 2007, Azerenergy Vice-President Marlen Asgarov stated.

Already, Azerbaijan and RAO EES have agreed on the amount of imports.

Marlen Asgarov says Azerbaijan is going to import Russian electricity of 200 to 250 megawatts in peak consumption hours if Russia agrees to be paid below 4.1 cents per kilowatt.

He also said that Azerbaijan raised the price of electricity transferred to Russia at nights to 1.70 cents from 1.58 per kilowatt.

Asgarov said that Azerbaijan suspended electricity talks with Iran because of hopeful negotiations with Russia, APA reports.
