Azerbaijan's Transport Ministry has prepared proposals on giving buses to transport companies by competition. Deputy transport minister Musa Panahov told journalists.

According to APA, he said that the project has been agreed on with relevant transport organizations and will be submitted to the government after being agreed upon with private companies.

"The Transport Ministry thinks it would be much better if the buses are given by competition. In this case, both service will be in high level and responsibility will increase. This experience is applied in most of countries in the world," the deputy minister said.

Panahov also noted that the Ministry has prepared new offers on bringing big buses to Baku.

"We want private companies to deal with this issue. We have some proposals to offer the government on giving of credits to these companies on light conditions and decreasing fees, and these proposals are being discussed," he said.

The deputy minister also said that if private companies do not show interest in brining big busses to Baku, this will be done by the account of state allocations.

"There is a need to 300 buses in the center of Baku. The express busses in the city center should be replaced at initial stage. Regrettably, some state bodies are indifferent to this issue, and do not want to address this problem," Panahov stressed.
