Buildings of over 100 post-offices to be constructed in Azerbaijan this year

As APA reports according to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, these works will be funded by the Ministry. New post-offices will be constructed mainly in villages. Approximately 5 of them will be built in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan. AZM 10-15 million is required for construction of the smallest post-office.

It should be noted that there are 1540 post stations in Azerbaijan at present and 1365 of them are post-offices. Though approximately 40% of the buildings of the post-offices were repaired, other 60% still needs capital repairs. The Ministry intends to conduct capital repairs of all post-offices in the republic till 2008.
