Azerbaijan, Pakistan discuss prospects for bilateral relations

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan Ali Alizade has met with Pakistani Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan to discuss the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.


They hailed Azerbaijan's and Pakistan's constantly supporting each other. "Both countries' heads of state have significantly contributed to the development of bilateral relations," they noted.


The two hailed a variety of humanitarian and social projects which were implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and noted the importance of enhancing economic and trade ties.


Highlighting the socio-economic development in Azerbaijan, as well as favorable conditions created for foreign investors, activities of industrial towns and investment parks and other economic and trade opportunities, the Ambassador noted the Pakistani businessmen would be able to take advantage of this situation. Minister Dastgir Khan recalled Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz this January in Davos. He hailed “great” potential for further development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
