Ramazan Abdulatipov urges government to promote trade and economic relations with Azerbaijan

Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov recently chaired a meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Dagestan on issues related to the relationship of the executive and self-government bodies with the neighboring regions and states.

Speaking at the meeting, Abdulatipov stressed the importance of strengthening international relations from the point of view of the economic prospects of Dagestan. "It is necessary to intensify efforts in the Caspian Sea, and the representation of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Makhachkala should coordinate these processes. It is also necessary to restore the fishing businesses," Abdulatipov said, AZERTAC reports quoting the official website of the Head of Dagestan.

Abdulatipov urged the top officials of the National Assembly and the Government of the Republic of Dagestan to visit the Caspian states for the purpose of establishing international relations. He also announced the decision to prepare the Caspian Forum on "Interregional cooperation of the Caspian states."

Abdulatipov urged the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, the Ministry for National Policy, and the Government of Dagestan to intensify efforts to establish trade and economic relations with Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Iran.
