Caspian European Club and Caspian Energy International Media Group address to heads of Caspian states

Caspian European Club and Caspian Energy International Media Group addressed the heads of five Caspian states with a request to support the conduction of the first business summit: the Caspian Energy Summit, which is going to be held as part of the Caspian Summit of the Presidents of the five Caspian states in Astrakhan in autumn of 2014, according to a message from the CEIBC.

The first Caspian Energy Summit is planned to be conducted under the chairmanship of Russian President Vladimir Putin. In future the presidency in the Caspian Energy Summit will be rotationally passed to a country hosting the following Caspian Summit of the Heads of States.

Heads of States and Governments of the EU countries, the management of the European Commission and leading trans-national world companies, which are the members of the Caspian European Club, also expressed an intention to participate in the Caspian Energy Summit in addition to the executives of the EU companies and the Caspian-Black Sea region countries.

Current joint projects of the Caspian state companies are proposed to be presented during the Caspian Energy Summit, including live discussion of possible new prospects for development of economic relations between the Caspian states in different economic branches (starting from energy right up to the agriculture). These in particular include the development of the market of ideas and joint projects in the Caspian, opportunities for creation of practically operating business-friendly investment and taxation multilateral zones, market for attraction of new world technologies, enabling to ensure the most rational consumption of Caspian resources as well as to maintain its ecosystem for future generations.

The summit is also aimed at discussion of development of environmentally friendly products of oil processing and petrochemical industry, development of geothermal and other alternative energy sources of the Caspian, new technologies for field development, operation of wells, construction of pipelines, introduction of innovations in the oil and non-oil sectors, development of financial-banking, insurance, leasing, telecommunication, tourism, machine-building, construction and other sectors of the non-oil industry, investment projects as well as business doing issues, setting of a business-to-government dialogue, etc.

Participating in the Caspian Energy Summit will also be representatives of diplomatic missions and missions of international organizations, heads of state-owned and private companies of the EU, Caspian-Black Sea and Baltic region countries.

It is also noteworthy that the Caspian Energy brand, registered in over 50 countries of the world, is marking its 15th anniversary this year.

The jubilee issue of the Caspian Energy journal is planned to be published on the occasion of this event.
