AZAL launches direct Beijing flights

From August 9, 2013 CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) will further expand its destinations network by resuming the direct connection between Baku and Beijing, SW Travel said today.

The flight, initially planned to be opened in May, has been temporarily postponed due to the new requirements set for the airline by the Chinese side.

Baku-Beijing flights will be operated by Airbus A-340 and Boeing 767 twice a week - on Tuesdays and Fridays - according to the following schedule:

Baku - Beijing on Tuesdays and Fridays departure 15.15, arrival 01.15 (the next day)
Beijing - Baku: Wednesdays and Saturdays, departure 05.45, arrival 10.45

All times are local.

The lowest fare for the economy class ticket on the route Baku- Beijing-Baku will be only 473 Euro (taxes and fees included).

Also CJSC "Azerbaijan Airlines" together with Chinese airlines provide special transfer fares for passengers traveling via Beijing to such cities such as Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shendzhen, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Xi'an (Xi'an), Chengdu and to other airports in the East and South-East Asia.
