SOCAR to install trestle in Caspian Sea

State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) is building a new trestle No. 1954A on the "Oil Rocks" field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, a report released by SOCAR said.

According to the report, the trestle that is designed for drilling of 10 new wells will be located at a water depth of 19 meters.

The contractor of the trestle is Neftegazstroy Ttrust of SOCAR.

SOCAR includes Azerneft (companies producing oil and gas on land and sea), Azerkimya (chemical industry enterprises) and Azerigas (gas distribution) production associations.

In addition, there is a number of processing and service enterprises and institutions engaged in geophysical and drilling operations within the State Oil Company.
