TAP selection shows strong political will, government in Azerbaijan

Selection of Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project is the indicator of political will and leadership of Azerbaijani government. This was declared during the briefing Southern gas corridor and its role in the energy security of Europe that was held at US Congress on the eve, Azerbaijani Embassy to the USA reported today.

According to the report, the event was organized on the joint initiative of Azerbaijani, Albanian, Georgian and Italian embassies in the USA.

Alongside with the ambassadors of the project's participant states, the Vise-President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Elshad Nasirov, general director of BP on international affairs Greg Saunders, as well as, Congress members, analysts, the representatives of US State Department, and the representatives of media outlets also participated in the briefing.
