SOCAR to invest $17 billion in Turkey

SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) by 2018 plans to invest in Turkey investments of $17 billion, said on Saturday Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev during a speech at a joint business forum in Gabala.

"In terms of investments, Turkey ranks first among the countries to which Azerbaijan invests," Mustafayev said.

today investments of the Turkish companies into fixed capital in Azerbaijan amounted to $ 2.1 billion, of which $ 1.5 billion was invested in the non-oil sector.
