On Thursday Ganja hosted the third German-Azerbaijani business forum, the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan said.
The forum was organised by the German-Azerbaijani Economic Union (DAWF) and Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
Along with officials from both sides the event was attended by representatives of more than 100 companies operating in the areas of agriculture and food industry, engineering, logistics, construction and others.
The chief executive of Ganja Elmar Veliyev said at the event that sustainable development of the economy of Azerbaijan will further enhance the interest of foreign investors in the country as a whole and its regions. At the same time Azerbaijan become investment exporter.
During the event, German businessmen were informed about the industrial potential of Ganja, projects implemented in the city, and areas that might interest them.
During the business forum presentations on the investment and business environment in Azerbaijan, the economy of the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate, the activities of German companies were held.
The delegation of businessmen of Rhineland-Palatinate acquainted with the activities of a number of industrial enterprises in Ganja.
