Azerbaijan -Tajikistan mull transport issues

 Azerbaijani ambassador to Tajikistan Abbasali Hasanov has met the country’s Minister of Transport Nizom Hakimov.

Hasanov said that new Asia-Caucasus-Europe railway corridor will be launched after the exploitation of Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Turkmenistan -Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey-Europe railway project.

According to the Azerbaijan Embassy in Tajikistan, the sides also discussed the construction work at Baku-Tbilisi-Kars and Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan- China railways and the establishment of the China-Caucasus-Europe corridor.

They also underlined the necessity of boosting the cooperation in the transport field between aluminum plants of Ganja and Tajikistan. Hakimov said he would soon visit Baku to hold negotiations on the issue.
