Estonia keen on expanding economic ties with Azerbaijan

There is big potential for increasing the volume of trade turnover between Estonia and Azerbaijan, Estonia’s minister of economic relations and communication, co-chair of the Azerbaijani-Estonian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade & Economic Cooperation Juhan Parts said, APA reports.

To him, within the last 2 years, the volume of trade turnover between the two countries soared 2 times: ‘Nevertheless, the current volume of trade turnover between Estonia and Azerbaijan makes 20 mln euros, this number does not satisfy either country. That is, we have all opportunities and big potential to increase it’.

The minister noted that the volume of Estonia’s investments in Azerbaijan is more than Azerbaijani investments in Estonia: ‘We will discuss economy and business opportunities with Azerbaijan in order to collaborate in education, science, culture, ICT, energy, tourism and etc spheres in future’.
