Ali Ahmedov: "The parliament must decide about a referendum aimed to lift restrictions on the number of presidential terms for one and the same person"

Milli Medjlis must consider the issue of referendum, aimed to lift restrictions on the number of presidential terms for one and the same person at one of the next sessions, said executive secretary of the Yeni Azerbaijan party Ali Ahmedov at the Milli Medjlis session.

He noted that such a restriction deprives one of the persons of the right to be elected and the citizens the right to elect.

"Public discussions also show that citizens are also for lifting restrictions. Me, on behalf of the party of majority in the parliament, I ask the Milli Medjlis to raise this issue at one of the next sessions", said Ahmedov.
