Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary Anna E.Derse said the September 11 attacks aimed at causing conflict between different religions, APA reports.
"However, the organizers of these attacks could not achieve their aims. Muslims, Christians and Jews condemned this violent act. The 9/11 September attacks made all civilized countries unite their forces in the fight against terrorism. Azerbaijan is one of the devoted allies of U.S in this global fight. I thank to Azerbaijan for it participation in the anti-terrorism coalition in Afghanistan and Iraq," the ambassador said.
Vice-speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Ziyafet Asgerov addressing the event said terrorism has no borders.
"Azerbaijan has also suffered terrorism. Armenia committed 32 terrorist acts against Azerbaijan. All the world should unite forces to fight terrorism," he said.
