Lale Shovkat to be nominated to presidency

Azerbaijan Liberty Party will meet after the amendments to be made to the bill on political parties, Evez Temirkhan, the party vice-chairman stated.

The party plans meeting by the end of 2006 or to the beginning of 2007, APA reports.

He said they will make changes in Party Rules to adjust to the new law. He also said they will elect party leader too.

"We do not want to call candidates’ names. Lale Shovket Hajiyeva will be the leader again. The party will also nominate her candidacy in 2008 presidential elections from Azadliq alliance," he said.
