Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Wednesday that Israel has been upset by the growing cooperation between Iran and Egypt.

Upon his arrival at Mehrabad International airport, he told reporters that Iran’s strategy is to help the Palestinians benefit from full capacity of the Muslim World in campaign against Israeli occupation.

There are some minor differences among Islamic states on adopting strategies but all share the same view that Israel is the main enemy of the Muslims.

During the visit, Larijani conferred with high ranking officials of Egypt on ways to expand economic and academic cooperation between the two countries.

Highlighting his talks with the Egyptian officials as very positive, Larijani said Iran and Egypt play significant role in regional developments.

He expressed the hope that the visit would help broaden cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

He also described Iran-Egypt parliamentary cooperation as very positive. He expressed the hope that the grounds would be prepared soon to form Iran-Egypt parliamentary friendship group.

Larijani arrived in Cairo on Sunday to attend the Islamic countries' inter-parliamentary union meeting in Egypt.
