As of Oct. 12, Kazakhstan has harvested grains from 14.429 million hectares, accounting for 97.9 percent of the total harvest area, Kazakhstan’s Agriculture Ministry said on its website Oct. 13.

The ministry said that during the current marketing year, a total of 18.901 million tons of grain was harvested throughout the country.

The average yield was 13.1 quintals per hectare.

For comparison, over the same period of last year, Kazakhstan harvested 15.313 million tons of grain at an average yield of 12.2 quintals per hectare.
