Seven pardon acts adopted and 41 pardon decrees issued within 12 years

Nearly 80 000 prisoners were released within these years. According to the pardon decrees issued by Heydar and Ilham Aliyevs 4484 prisoners were pardoned. 32 of the pardon decrees were issued by Heydar Aliyev, nine by Ilham Aliyev. 77 of the pardoned are women, 42 juveniles. The latest pardon decree concerned to 106 prisoners, 90 were released of un-served term of their sentence, two lifers’ sentence was reduced by 25 years, nine prisoners were released from isolated places, two men from penalty and three men’s sentenced was reduced twice. Eight of pardoned prisoners are women and one juvenile, Justice Ministry told the APA.
