Appeals of 200 POWs and missing people's parents were presented to the CE rapporteurs

"Investigation should be made in the occupied territories to get broad information about Azerbaijani war prisoners and hostages.

"Only after that precise information can be got about war prisoners, hostages and missing people during Armenian aggression of Azerbaijani territories," Firudin Sadigov, the chief of the working group of State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing People said during round table "Women rights as part of human rights."

He said that together with International Red Cross Organization they made further investigation about 433 war prisoners and hostages held in Armenia. They found out that 190 war prisoners and hostages are alive and live in Russia, CIS countries and other states now. 118 men died on battlefields.

The commission has made precise lists of missing people. At the beginning of the year the additional materials about 1535 war prisoners and missing people were sent to the CE.

Besides, the appeals of 200 war prisoners and missing people's parents were presented to the CE rapporteurs.

According to the latest investigations of the working group, 4561 Azerbaijani citizens were taken hostages and war prisoners by Armenians. 292 of them are women, 52 children. Confirmed information shows that out of 783 Azerbaijani war prisoners and hostages 46 are women, 18 little-ones. 1382 men were released. 342 of them are women, 168 children, APA reports.
