Drone crashes on Turkey’s border with Syria

20 October 2015 [16:36] - TODAY.AZ

A drone has crashed in Turkey’s southern province of Hatay near the Syrian border.

It hasn’t been so far specified which country owned the aircraft, the Haber 7 news channel reported Oct. 20.

The incident comes days after Turkish planes shot down a drone in Turkey’s airspace over the border with Syria. Reportedly, the aircraft was warned three times, before being downed by Turkey’s patrol aircraft.

Experts are currently working to establish the country that owned the downed drone.

It is supposed that the aircraft belonged to Syria and was produced by Iran.
