National Bank of Kazakhstan increases gross international reserves

The National Bank of Kazakhstan increases its gross international reserves for the third consecutive month, according to the analytical service Ranking.kz.

“The cumulative growth for June-August amounted to $351 million,” said the message.

In August, gross reserves rose by $108 million, in July – by $86 million, in June - by $157 million. The increase for the year (August 2014- 2015) amounted to $1.34 billion.

Total gross international reserves at the end of August amounted to $29 billion.

Significant growth after a two-month drop was recorded at physical gold reserves and amounted to $380 million. At the end of August, they amounted to $7.6 billion, approaching the historical upper limit recorded in January 2015 ($7.9 billion).
