Georgian presidential election which will be held on October 27 will meet the European standards, Georgia's Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said.
During his visit to Latvian capital of Riga on Friday, Ivanishvili said that Georgia attaches great significance to Latvia's experience in European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
According to Ivanishvili, the upcoming presidential election in Georgia was also discussed during his meeting with Latvian PM Valdis Dombrovskis.
Ivanishvili said he assured his colleague that the presidential election in Georgia will be 'typical European'.
"I assured my colleague that the election will be typically European. It will not be an election 'looking like' the European elections; it will be a typically European election. There will be a lot of observers, and we will convince Europe that we can hold democratic election," Ivanishvili said.
