Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan urges population not to use credit cards, Sabah newspaper reported on Wednesday.
As the newspaper writes, the Prime Minister explained this by the fact that the percentage charged by the banks for the use of credit cards is very high.
"There are banks, the annual income of which from the percentage for the use of credit cards is equal to the total annual income of other banks," Erdogan said.
According to him, people should understand what kinds of games are played by banks in Turkey, and they should fight against it.
