Police breaks up protesters trying to barge in PM's residence in Turkey

Police dispersed a group of protesters, trying to invade the residence of the Prime Minister - Minister of Turkey in Istanbul, using water cannons and tear gas, Anadolu Agency reported on Tuesday.

According to information, a group of protesters on Monday night trying to invade Erdogan's residence in Dolmabahche.

According to the Turkish media, tension remains in Gezi Park at Taksim Square.

The protesters opposing the destruction of the park, are building barricades in Istiklal Street and throwing stones at policemen. The police continue to use tear gas and water cannons to disperse the demonstrators.

According to the Turkish Interior Ministry, some 58 people were injured and over 730 people were detained.

The 6th Istanbul Administrative Court decided to suspend the construction of the Topcu K?slas? shopping centre on Taksim Square.

A group of protesters tried to seize the building of the Turkish ruling party in the province of Izmit on morning of June 1. Local police dispersed the demonstrators.
