
"My decision to become member of the Azerbaijan-Israel group of friendship is primarily based on the fact that our country needs to develop normal, friendly relations with Israel, promote establishment of peace in the Middle East and implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions about creation of the Palestinian state", said deputy of Milli Medjlis and chairman of the Democratic Reforms Party Asim Mollazade.
He said the powers supporting Armenia when this country occupied Azerbaijani lands backed the escalation of Palestine-Israel conflict.
"I am confident that Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas should renew talks in the framework of the "Road map" and assist to attainment of peace in the Middle East", announced Mollazade.
As for the position of official Baku on the Palestine-Israel conflict, according to Mollazade, it is featured only by the wish to attain peace and stability in the region. "I am confident that Azerbaijan-Israel relations must develop and our friendship in the framework of the Azerbaijan-Israel friendship group will promote it", concluded Mollazade.
