Letter to the Void: how Mikael Minassian decided to teach Macron about geopolitics

Mikael Minasyan, former Armenian ambassador to the Vatican and son-in-law of ex-President Serzh Sargsyan, has published an open letter in *Le Journal du Dimanche* addressed to Emmanuel Macron.

In his message, he criticizes the French president’s visit to Armenia, describing it as a political gesture that could influence domestic dynamics ahead of elections and expressing concern over the situation of displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh.

Minasyan also presents his interpretation of the region’s historical narrative, which he contrasts with what he sees as prevailing political narratives in Yerevan.
