Brittany Murphy's husband attacks Hollywood for her death

The British director appeared on The Today Show to set the record straight over speculation that drugs and anorexia caused her fatal heart attack.

Simon suspects the real reason for her death was due to depression after being withdrawn from a Warner Brothers film role in Happy Feet 2.

It was supposed to be her big come back and was devastated when Hollywood changed their minds, Entertainmentwise.com reported.

Mr Monjack has asked A-list actors to protest in her honour, saying: "I would say to Brad Pitt and Mattie Damon who have been offered the movie, really think about Brittany before you do it….Hollywood broke her heart."

The 32-year-old actress' toxicology report will be released in February.
