
Armenia increased its defense expenditures last year while Azerbaijan and Georgia reduced it.
The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) reported that Azerbaijan allocated $1.421 billion for defense expenditures in 2010, Armenia - $404 million, Georgia - $452 million.
Armenia increased its defense expenditures for $45 million as against the figures of 2009. Azerbaijan reduced it for $52 million and Georgia - $152 million.
According to SIPRI Military Expenditure Database, Azerbaijan spent $9.215 billion for defense expenditures in 2000-2010, Georgia - $4.317 billion, Armenia - $2.630 billion.
The statistics considered the resources allocated from the state budget for the defense expenditure sector.
