The first session of the Azerbaijan-Jordan intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and technical cooperation will be held in the capital of Jordan Amman on February 25-26, according to AzerTac.

Azerbaijan will be represented at the session by a delegation led by Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev,
At the session the participants will discuss cooperation in the sphere of trade and economy, industry and energy, communication and information technologies, agriculture, customs, transport, including air, culture and tourism, science and education, public health and other spheres, exchanged views on issues of mutual concern.
The coordinated issues will be reflected in the protocol of the first session of the commission.
The meetings of Minister Mustafayev on the high level are envisioned in the framework of the visit.
Business forum with participation of the business people of Azerbaijan and Jordan will start in Amman on February 25 on par with the session. The forum will provide a detailed information about the investment and business environment in Azerbaijan and business meetings between businessmen will be held. Azerbaijani business people will also attend different industrial and trade enterprises of Jordan.
Azerbaijan-Jordan intergovernmental commission was founded in July of 2007 in line with an agreement, signed during the visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Jordan. By instruction of President Ilham Aliyev Minister of Economic Development Mustafayev is appointed co-chair of the commission from Azerbaijan, while Jordan is co-chaired by Minister of Industry and Trade of this country Amer Hadidi.
