Gazprom intends to reach agreements on gas supplies with Azerbaijan in 2009

Russian Gazprom considers attainment of agreements on gas supplies by European prices with Azerbaijan possible beginning with 2009, said chairman of Gazprom's directors' board Alexei Miller, speaking at the annual session of shareholders, according to ITAR-TASS.

"Taking into account our infrastructure and readiness to buy gas for world prices, we assess reaching agreement with Azerbaijan as quite possible", said Miller.
