Eat your favorite food and still stay fit

Many people torment themselves with harsh diets, exhausting their bodies with hunger. However, except for some special cases such as problems with health, it is totally possible to lose weight without bringing yourself to starvation or depression.

And as always, there are tips that can help you in your target to get thinner!

1. Adding a lot of vegetables and fruits to your ration will help you. You can do it by adding them to your home-cooked dishes. Hide them on the bottom of the plate and the portions will seem bigger, but with less calories.

2. Drink lots of water before you eat

Drinking water before a meal makes you feel full and will indeed decrease amount of food you eat. Before you tear into that bag of harmful potato chips, drink a glass of water first. People sometimes confuse the feeling of thirst with that of hunger, so instead of eating extra calories, drink an ice-cold glass of water. If plain water doesn't cut it, try to replace it with flavored sparkling water or brewing a cup of fruit-infused herbal tea.

3. Carefully choose snacks while watching a TV series

The most dangerous time for your diet is the time when you sit in front of the TV or computer and your stomach demands something tasty. However, instead of eating cookies, you can peel yourself carrots and gnaw on them, watching the events unfold in your favorite soap opera.

4. Skip the juices, eat the fruit

Instead of drinking juices or smoothies, which tend to be filled with calories, eat whole pieces of fruit.

Eating a fruit whole fills you up more than juice because raw fruit has more fiber. In addition, the act of chewing the fruit communicates to the brain that you've eaten something substantial.

5. Enjoy your favorite foods

Instead of cutting out your favorite foods altogether, buy one fresh bakery cookie instead or a small portion of candy from the bulk bins instead of a whole bag.

You can still eat your favorite food, just cut the amount.

6. Eat more soup

Soups are relatively low in calories and you can diversify your menu with a new soup every day. Moreover, if you start with a soup, you will probably eat less of the main meal.

Losing pounds does not have to be torture. Adopt some of these behaviors and you will be thinner and healthier in days.
