World Bank to discuss "Strategy for cooperation with the country" in February

The leading economist of the World Bank (WB) on Southern Caucasus Christian Petersen started negotiations with the government of Azerbaijan on the project "Strategy for cooperation with the country".

As APA reports, C.Petersen came to Azerbaijan on last weekend and will hold discussions with governmental officials till the end of February.

The World Bank plans to grant over $1 billion to Azerbaijan under the "Strategy for cooperation with the country" to encircle 2006-2009.

It was informed from the Bank that main attention would be paid to infrastructure and social development projects in the strategy.
