Education Ministry ready to consider issue of releasing internally displaced persons from payment in private institutions of higher learning

The Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Misir Mardanov told journalists on 23 August, commenting on the attitude of the Ministry to the available information on the requirements of a number of private higher education institutions on 50% payment, Trend reports.

According to him, the Ministry has not received such addresses so far. The issue was also actual in the previous year, the Minister said and added, at that time he gathered all rectors of private higher education institutions and discussed the situation with them, at the result the issue was solved positively.

«As for the fee-paying departments of the state universities and other higher learning institutions there exist the President’s decree on releasing the refugees and IDPs from payment”, the Minister noted.
